Mr. Khalid Amin is the Chancellor & Chairman Board of Governor of Indus University, Karachi Pakistan, since 2012. Currently, he is also a Chancellor of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto City University (SBBCU) since March 2013, Board of Governor of Indus Education System from January 2002.
Mr. Amin, started his career as a businessman, established numerous textile factories in Pakistan which have played a major role in the development of the sector, he also formed Pakistan National Building Material Display Centre Foundation (PNBMDCF) in 2002.
The Government of Sindh, Pakistan recognized his contributions and nominated him as Justice of Peace in January 1996 to 1999 & Honorary Executive First Class Magistrate from March 1996 to February 1999.
Holding Chairmanship of the national education foundation since July 2011, the Institute of Textile Technology & Management Foundation (ITTMF) from October 2000 to 2014, Pakistan Silk & Rayon Mills Association since October 2018 and Association of National, International Universities Research & Educational Centre (ANIUREC) from January 2015 and Vice Chairman of The Association of Private Universities and Institutes (APUI) since 2002.
Furthermore, Mr. Amin also possess a membership to Managing Committee of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) from January 2019, Senior Executive member of the Managing Committee of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) from December 1984 -1987 in addition to his services, he has built an extensive leadership in the major institutes and organizations and became a lifetime member of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Committee - Chamber of Commerce & Industry since April 2007, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), Defense Authority Country (DHA) & Golf Club, Karachi from 2001 and Arts Council of Karachi Pakistan from December 2010.
His long-standing commitments & devotion towards education made him a role model for current & upcoming generations. His contribution for the services to humanity has gained him global recognition.
